What was the first album you bought?
The first album I ever bought was ‘Popped In Souled Out’ from Wet Wet Wet. I was 12. Don’t judge me.
Who were you a fan of before they were popular?
I’ve been a big fan of Fontaines DC since 2016 when they were called The Fontaines. They were as cool then as they are now but had much better dress sense.
What’s your go to karaoke song?
My karaoke song is ‘Don’t You Want Me’ by The Human League.
Best concert you’ve ever been to?
I’ve been to lots of concerts over the years but the one that had the biggest impact on me was Sufjan Stevens in The Olympia Theatre in May 2011. Music from the heavens.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
If I were an animal I would be a sea lion chilling and snoozing on a rock all day.
What’s the best holiday you’ve been on?
When I was working in a bar in Wooloomooloo in Sydney in 2002 called The Old Fitzroy Hotel, I met Keanu Reeves. Him and his girlfriend stayed back after we closed with my co-worker Holly and I. The four of us drank and had the chats at the bar until 3am. Nice guy.

Peter Grogan’s programme “It’s All in the Song” is an hour-long proof of just that. For Peter, the lyrics are where it is at and the calibre of the artists featured, from at home and abroad, from week to week, guarantee that melodies are married seamlessly to the lyrics. But it’s not all serious stuff. Expect the unexpected, the comedy interval, the parody, the well-chosen poem and often the live studio guest.
