That’s All Folk

About

Welcome to That’s All Folk, the show that takes you on a unique musical journey through the world of folk and its diverse influences. Each week, we explore the folk music canon, blending classic tracks with contemporary sounds. Whether it’s traditional folk, punk, dance, or any genre inspired by folk roots, you’ll hear it all here on That’s All Folk.

This show is more than just folk music; it’s a celebration of the genre’s evolution and its far-reaching influence on modern music. While we feature some purist folk, we also embrace the sometimes tenuous connections that give folk music its staying power in today’s cultural landscape. From upbeat folk-punk anthems to stripped-down acoustic ballads, That’s All Folk has something for everyone.

Each week, I aim to curate an eclectic mix of tunes—sometimes focusing on a specific theme, and other times, simply indulging my passion for playing great folk music, old and new. Occasionally, I’ll feature interviews with folk musicians—whether established legends or up-and-coming talents—giving you insight into the world of folk and its creative community.

At That’s All Folk, we welcome feedback and suggestions from our listeners. If you have a favourite folk track, artist, or subgenre you’d like to hear, let me know! Folk music is vast, and I love hearing what other people are enjoying.
