What was the first album you bought?
I don’t remember the album but my first ever single I will always remember. I was 10 and had saved up some money and my dad took me to the local record shop called RadioShack. I left the proud owner of my first 45, “The Specials – Ghost Town”.

If you met someone who had never listened to music before, what album would you play them?
Wow that’s an absolute mind-blowing question. Seriously just one? I dunno, maybe Air… Radiohead… Foo Fighters… Muse… Groove Armada, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Roses, 2ManyDJs, OKGO!

The best gig I’ve been to?
This one is very easy. Stand out, by far the best time I’ve ever had at any of the many gigs was my first gig with my daughter to see Fatboy Slim, hands down. And I remember my first ever gig. It was with my dad and my brother in 1983 to see Nik Kershaw at the National Stadium.

Favourite musician dead or alive?
Now if I could create my perfect band it would have to be Mike Patton or Jim Morrison as front men, drums would be Stewart Copeland or Lars Ulrich. On bass it’s either Chris Wolstenholme or most likely Paul McCartney. With Jimmy Hendrix or Jack White on guitar. But if it’s just one… drum roll… Norman Cook.
